Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota: Active Living Minnesota
Active Living By Design (ALBD) provides technical assistance to Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota (BCBSM) staff for their Active Living Minnesota (ALM) community funding. Along with field-related advice, ABBD provides BCBSM strategic planning assistance, and helps them build active living expertise and coaching capacity. ALM aims to increase access and reduce barriers to routine physical activity. Currently, ALM funds eight communities in Minnesota to plan for and implement a comprehensive approach to support active living, with a focus on environmental and policy change efforts. These communities are: Beltrami Wellness Education for Long Life (B-WELL), Clay County, Dakota County, Douglas County, Hennepin County, LaCrescent Area Healthy Community Partnership, City of Pipestone, and Rochester-Olmsted Planning Department.
