Grant set to get Duke City on its feet

The Albuquerque Alliance for Active Living - more than a dozen local groups with 1000 Friends of New Mexico as the lead organization - has received a $200,000 five-year grant to get the city's residents moving. The alliance will focus, in the words of the grant, on "improving pedestrian and bicycle environments" in three areas of the city, Downtown, Atrisco and Nob Hill/Highland.
