Robert Wood Johnson Foundation

Active Living By Design was founded in 2002 by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and was a founding program in its Active Living initiative. RWJF’s goal is to reverse the childhood obesity epidemic by 2015 by improving access to affordable, healthy foods and increasing opportunities for physical activity in schools and communities across the nation. The mission of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation is to improve the health and health care of all Americans. Its goal is clear: to help Americans lead healthier lives and get the care they need.
